When working at home it can be nice to find an alternative and more relaxing way to sit and still being able to use the computer for entertainment or e-mails. This Lounge chair provides you with a working surface in left side and an extra surface underneath it.
The chair was made as a part of the exhibition project "Branching out" and the prototype was made at the Copenhagen Technical Schools workshops and Exhibited at Bella Center.
Process
The legs go through the seat in conic holes and are locked with a dowel. This is an incredibly strong joint that enables the legs to hold the working surface in place with only two points. The holes were made accurately with CNC and the rest was made as traditional hand work.
The upholstery work was made by an upholstery student at Copenhagen technical school. The fabric was sponsored by Danish Art Weaving.
