Hikari Grande - Rhombic - Pendant
The origami-inspired Hikari pendant is the latest of a series of geometrical polyhedron lights, made of paper-thin elm veneer and handmade Japanese paper. By combining computer technologies with exquisite hand craftsmanship, Rasmus Fenhann transforms complex geometrical principles into stunning sculptural forms.
The first Hikari lamps were made in 2004, and the following year Design Museum Denmark opened a solo exhibition with these works entitled Aero. In 2015 Design Museum Denmark acquired one of the Hikari Grande pendants for their permanent collection.
