"How to transform a two-dimensional plate into a strong and flexible three-dimensional construction."
CLIPS
Rasmus Fenhann made this chair in three versions. The first idea came when he was a student at Denmarks Design School in 1999. The idea was to play with the two-dimensional material showing in a logical way how to transform a plate into a strong and flexible three-dimensional construction.
CLIPS v.2.0
In 2009 Fenhann made a new version of the chair. In this version he used a red laminate on one side to give a clear indication of the outside and inside and it also gave some intriguing colour reflections on the light Ash wood.
CLIPS v 3.0
In 2013 a new limited edition of the chair was made for Galerie Maria Wettergren in Paris. It is made of Ash plywood.
